Welcome!

Hello I’m Lindsey! Welcome to my blog, “For the here & now”. Right now I live in Kenya, I’ve previously lived in 3 countries in the Arab world. This blog is my response to the world around me. You are welcome to see the world through my eyes for a bit but also to develop your own response to what is happening in the world today. It’s not just about reading the news and knowing what is going on a thousand miles away, my response is to find out what I need to do. I based my blog name on something that is a foundation in my life and shapes how I see the world. For the here & now is based off of a story in the Bible in the book of Esther, “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” (Esther 4:14) That I am here for such a time as this, placed in this world, shapes not only my view of this world but also my part in it. The world often feels like a crazy place, if there is a plan we can find it hard to see. I believe there is a plan, though it is not our own. With all that is going on in the world today I want to be able to see the bigger picture and my responsibility in it. So I invite you to join me, because we all have a part to play.
